A Little History of YOUR Rotary ClubTo date nearly two BILLION children have received oral vaccine and 165 nations around the world have benefited from PolioPlus grants, as a result of the efforts of Rotary International, its Foundation and partners.
This came about as a result of a tremendous fund-raising effort – Rotary’s first Rotarian-to-Rotarian pledge solicitation program ever. How did our club respond? We’ve got GOOD roots!
Under the leadership of former Gables Rotarian Al Calli, we raised $123,000!! That’s $3,000 more than the ambitious goal we set for ourselves. Your fellow members were responsible for significant action toward eradicating Polio and other childhood diseases in the rest of the world. You can be proud, once again, of your deep roots.
