First 5th Friday
Friday evening, August 31 marked the first fifth Friday of this Rotary year - and as is our custom - we partied hearty!
Snow's Jewelers is a fixture on Miracle Mile for more than 20 years. Eddie Snow has just relocated to a new spot, right by the Miracle Theater.
Eddie was concerned that because it was Labor Day Weekend, attendance would be sparse. Ha! He should have more faith in our members and their absolute love of socializing. More than 40 members and their guests showed up to inaugurate the new store and enjoy time with their fellow Rotarians. And with a little help from Lovables (Carl always takes such great care of us!) we had a great time. 
Generous to a fault, Eddie let us raffle a $500 gift certificate with proceeds going to our Club's Foundation. We raised hundreds of dollars thanks in no small way to Gloria Burns' excellent raffle ticket selling skills.
Nancy Martini (Mrs. Greg) had already been doing some serious shopping. It's difficult to resist some of the deletable baubles so beautifully displayed throughout the store. But she was frugal and then SHE WON the $500 Gift Certificate. Just goes to show you that you have to spend money to make money ...
