September 5th Friday

Friday Night at Snow's Jewelers

More than 30 people attended the second 5th Friday of President Debbie's Rotary Year.  Hosted by Eddie Snow and his entire family, we were treated to an evening of wishing, hoping and shopping.  Eddie was happy to let anyone try on the jewel of their dreams.  He'd even discount if we bought something on the spot.  But it didn't matter if we did or didn't buy ... he was pleased to be able to host our quarterly fellowship event.  The food was terrific (thanks to Liz Lovables) and the liquid libations generous.  Quite a few Rotarians decided to keep the party going and they left Snow's for dinner together.

Fifth Fridays are held any month that has five Fridays.  They usually take place at one of our members' business locations - after all, that's how Rotary got started - rotating from one member's place of business to another.  So we revived the original tradition.  They're only two hours but always fun, interesting and a terrific opportunity to get to know your fellow Rotarians outside of our weekly meetings.

The next 5th Friday is December 30th.  That's way too much partying around the holidays so we're holding off until March 30, 2012.  Stay tuned for details as the date draws near.  And thanks again to the Snow's for hosting one of our favorite fellowship events.
